In this video, we walk you through a real WiFi makeover we completed for a 5,000+ square foot home in Newton, Massachusetts. The home had just been renovated—beautiful finishes, modern design, and all the latest features—except for one major problem: the WiFi was terrible.
Before we arrived, the homeowners were relying on just two consumer-grade access points located in the center of the home to provide coverage for three floors and a basement. Unsurprisingly, the system was struggling to keep up:
- The third floor had almost no signal at all
- Streaming and gaming were impossible in most rooms
- Outdoor coverage was nonexistent
- Their work VPN devices didn’t integrate reliably
- Speed tests on some floors showed single-digit Mbps

After a full network assessment and WiFi survey, we installed four PoE-powered, enterprise-grade mesh access points, precisely placed to create seamless coverage throughout the home. We also integrated their specialized VPN hardware so both homeowners could securely work from home—without glitches or connection drops.
Once the system was installed, we ran a second full WiFi survey to confirm what we already knew: the results were incredible. Signal strength went from weak to excellent on every floor. Internet speeds jumped dramatically. Outdoor coverage improved. And for the first time, the entire home was blanketed with fast, reliable WiFi.
